    Truck Driver

Hours:

40 hours per week with 1 hour lunch break. Occasional overtime will be required. Office is open to the public Monday - Friday 7 am - 4 pm.

Applicants must also meet the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Company mental and physical requirements; and must be physically and mentally able to safely perform the essential job functions without obvious risk of injury to the employee or co-workers. Core Responsibilities:
Load and unload trucks with forklift
Operate trucks in a safe and timely fashion
Deliver material to jobsites, unload where customers need the material
Keep equipment in good working order
Report any necessary maintenance to management
Follow all company procedures and policies

Additional Responsibilities:
Help customers
Stack material
Keep grounds and facilities clean and organized
Assist management as directed

Requirements:
Class A CDL
No serious traffic violations while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last 3 years
No convictions for a DUI, DWI, OUI or reckless driving with alcohol/drugs involved within the last 5 years
Able to operate forklift
Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
Enjoy working outdoors
Self motivated

Able to work overtime

Typical Day:
Woare’s Inc. is a landscape and masonry supply business. We receive around 5 semi loads of material each day inbound and load around 8 of our own trucks per day for outbound deliveries. Each Truck Driver will be in charge of facilitating the delivery of products from our yard to various jobsites around Central Illinois. The truck you are using to deliver may already be loaded or you may need to help load and secure it before leaving the yard.  You will be communicating with customers for your deliveries by calling them when you're on your way and working with them for material placement at the jobsite. Additional tasks may include general cleaning and organizing around the yard and any other tasks Management may need performed when not making deliveries.

Dress Code:
We expect clean clothes at the start of each day. Average day attire: Jeans or Shorts, sleeved or sleeveless shirt, boots or sneakers, work gloves. You need to be prepared for varying weather conditions: sun, rain, snow etc.
